Bre Vocke is a Graphic Designer that wants to ignite change. Her style is minimalistic but can be much more in some cases. Her most recent exhibition piece, ContentDiscontent, was part of an exhibition of posters from the Summer 2023 semester while studying abroad on Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. This exhibition encapsulated the designer’s interpretation of typography and its future. Bre’s interpretation of typography is that it is becoming more emotional, and therefore more expressive. She aims for her work to communicate with her audiences and viewers with that expressive emotion and to show that it is okay to do these things through work and that it is also okay to feel these various types of ways. With this mindset, she is advocating with Mental Health movements and hopes to be an advocate that others can look to and how she advocates through her designs. Now, Bre is working on other forms of advocation, like creating a campaign to educate and raise awareness for genetic spine disorders and the importance of childhood diagnosis rather than a delayed diagnosis in later adolescence and even teen years. Bre Vocke’s overarching goal is to be the voice for those who either feel they do not have one or to amplify the voices of those who are not being heard.
